He whose walk is upright fears the LORD, BUT he whose ways are devious despises him. (Proverbs 14:2)
To fear the LORD is not simply to speak reverently about God. Proverbs says it becomes visible in the way we walk. An upright life grows from a heart that takes God seriously—choosing honesty, humility, faithfulness, and integrity even when no one else is watching. But when we knowingly choose deception and crooked paths, our actions reveal something about the place we’ve given God in our lives. None of us walks perfectly, but wisdom invites us to ask an honest question: Does the path I’m walking reflect the God I say I honor?
