Big Buts of the Bible

Moses had plenty of reasons to say no.

He wasn’t eloquent. He doubted himself. He questioned God’s plan. And when every objection had been answered, one remained:

“Please send someone else.”

Many of us know that feeling.

We assume God is looking for the most gifted, the most confident, or the most capable. So we point to our weaknesses, our fears, our failures, and quietly conclude that He must have someone else in mind.

But God wasn’t asking Moses to trust himself. He was asking Moses to trust Him.

The Lord didn’t choose Moses because he was eloquent. He chose him because He would be with him.

Sometimes the greatest pivot in our lives comes when we’ve exhausted every excuse and finally discover that God’s calling has never depended on our perfection.

It has always depended on His presence.

Your fears and imperfections are not the end of your story.

They may be the very place where God’s strength begins to shine.
