Proverbial But O’ the Week: Influence

He who walks with the wise grows wise, BUT a companion of fools suffers harm. (Proverbs 13:20).

We become, in part, like the people we allow closest to us. Their attitudes rub off, their priorities influence ours, and over time their wisdom—or foolishness—can quietly shape the direction of our lives. But Proverbs reminds us that companionship is more than company; it carries influence.

Choose people who help you see clearly, live wisely, and grow toward the person God is shaping you to become. And perhaps an equally important question: What kind of influence are we becoming for those who walk with us?
